Simple words cannot express the grief I feel and share with the rest of the world. The tragedy at Virginia Tech is considered the worst shooting massacre since Charles Whitman climbed the University of Texas clock tower in 1966. What's more, this event happens to fall on the anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting.
Swede and I are praying for the families and students affected by this sensless killing. There is an understandable uproar over the fact that guns were used to take innocent life. People on both sides of the gun-control coin are wringing their hands in anticipation of a huge fight centered on the VT shooting spree. I can only urge calm and prayer at this time.
Remain calm and pray for the souls of those affected. Wait for ALL the facts to surface before pointing fingers and assigning blame. A lot of information is going to come from this and we can only sit and watch. Many people will rush to judgement and make absurd accusations. Let the investigators do their job first. There will be plenty of time to bicker later. Give everyone at Virginia Tech time to mourn and heal.
